Evan's Story -- Golf Gave Me Hope. Now I'm Giving Back.
Friday 12th Jun
My name is Evan McFarlane, and participating in PGA Day 2026.
PGA Day is a special initiative where professionals in our association play as much golf as possible in a single day to raise funds for Crohn's and Colitis Canada.
Seven years ago, I underwent major life-saving bowel surgery that resulted in permanent colostomy. During my recovery, I found inspiration watching Tiger Woods win the Masters Tournament. Seeing his perseverance reignited my passion for golf and strengthened my determination to return to the game I love.
Just two months after surgery, I successfully passed my Playing Ability Test and became a member of the PGA of Canada.
That experience changed my life.
Today, I am proud to use my story and my platform to raise awareness and support for people living with Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and other forms of inflammatory bowel disease.
Every donation helps bring hope to individuals and families facing challenges similar to my own.
Thank you for supporting PGA Day and Crohn's and Colitis Canada.
